Airborne Medicine in Madagascar

For over 10 years, the French NGO Médicaéro has been transporting medical teams, equipment, and medications by plane to treat and save populations in remote areas. During its missions, it ensures the transfer of experience to local healthcare providers and establishes sustainable medical networks, in collaboration with local authorities and other NGOs.

Our Actions in Madagascar

Médicaero’s medical teams, which include general practitioners and numerous specialists (ophthalmologists, gynecologists, cardiologists, dermatologists…), travel 5 times a year to the most remote areas of the TOLIARA province, in the south of the island. Each mission is prepared with local healthcare providers to address the population’s needs, with a long-term health approach.
